The PTA 2nd Vice President coordinates volunteer activities for the PTA committees and for many school functions. Three structured volunteer “sign-ups” occur during the school year. The first is in the fall, the second in the winter, and the third at the end of the year to cover summer and September volunteer requirements. A flier will come home at each of these times to help parents select volunteer opportunities. The current sign-up form is included here for download - Volunteer Form. To volunteer for activities listed on the form, please complete it and send it back to school with your child. Also, please do not hesitate to contact the 2nd Vice President, volunteer@jlespta.org, if you have questions about volunteering.

In addition, teachers often contact parents directly to solicit volunteers for classroom activities and field trips. Do not hesitate to ask your child’s teacher if you are interested in assisting in the classroom. Contact the room parent for your child’s class if you would like to assist with the Halloween or Valentine’s Day parties.
